Taiyuan Wanda Plaza is a landmark urban complex developed by Wanda Group in the traditional city center of Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. Representing Wanda's third-generation city complex model, it integrates international hotels, high-end office buildings, serviced apartments, luxury residences, leisure retail, and international cinemas into a cohesive development.
The project occupies a prime location near the Central Business District of Fuxi Street. With a total investment of 70 billion RMB and a total construction area of approximately 1.5 million square meters, it is designed to be a vibrant hub that redefines the city center.The complex includes Grade-A office buildings, the Wanda Vista Hotel, luxury residences (Wanda Mansion), a shopping mall, an international cinema, and diverse retail and leisure amenities.
The project's development began with the acquisition of the central land parcel by the Wanda Group. Residential sections commenced sales in 2010. A significant milestone was the grand foundation ceremony for the large-scale commercial component on September 27, 2013, marking Wanda Plaza's official entry into the Shanxi market. The office tower, Taiyuan Wanda International Center, was delivered in May 2016 and experienced a sales relaunch in December 2019. Residential development has continued in subsequent phases, with ongoing project deliveries planned through 2025.
