How to Check If Resealing Is Needed

Wipe the countertop dry with a cloth afterward. If no dark ring remains on the stone surface, the sealer is still intact. If a dull dark ring is left where the glass sat, the sealer has worn off and re-sealing is required. This test is quick and straightforward.

Sand grains are essentially tiny granite particles that scratch stone surfaces through friction. Avoid placing heavy crates on countertops or dragging heavy objects across them. Sand trapped underneath dragged boxes will leave permanent scratches, whose repair comes with high costs and great inconvenience.
Granite and engineered stone feature excellent heat resistance. Hot cookware can be placed directly on their surfaces without scalding or discoloration — an advantage unmatched by other solid surface materials.
