During long-term service, stone surfaces will suffer contamination along joints if maintenance is neglected. External contaminants easily stain the stone seams and turn them black, severely compromising both the service life and decorative appearance of the stone.

Detailed Construction Procedures

1. Remove the original filler inside stone joints. Fit a 0.3mm cutting disc on a stone cutter to recut the existing joints and minimize the seam width.

2. Mix special marble glue to match the stone’s hue. Using marble glue with the identical color of the stone slab delivers superior uniformity and optimal visual presentation.

3. Fill the joints with the prepared glue, leaving the marble glue slightly higher than the stone surface. Marble glue shrinks moderately after full curing; this step prevents recessed seams after repair.

4. Grind and polish the filled area to level the filler flush with the stone slabs. This improves overall surface consistency, eliminates uneven joint edges, and permanently stops re-darkening of seams.

Marble glue enables convenient and fast curing, yet the filled joints will lack surface gloss. For high-standard seamless finishing, epoxy resin or unsaturated polyester resin is recommended for joint filling.
