During long‑term service of stone materials, inadequate maintenance allows external contaminants to easily stain stone joints, resulting in darkening of middle joints, which seriously impairs both the service performance and decorative effect of stone.
Construction Procedures
1. Remove the original filler from stone joints. Re‑cut the existing joints with power tools to minimize joint width.
2. Color‑match special marble glue. Applying marble glue tinted to match the hue of crystallized stone enhances overall integrity and achieves optimal visual appearance.
3. Fill the joints and apply the marble glue slightly above the stone surface. Marble glue shrinks to a certain extent after full curing; this operation prevents the repaired joints from sitting below the stone surface.
4. Carry out grinding and polishing to level the filler flush with the stone substrate. This improves monolithic integrity, eliminates height differences at joints, and thoroughly prevents re‑occurrence of joint darkening.
